Six Teenagers Arrested After Police Pursuit

Six teenagers have been arrested after police pursued them at 11:30pm on Saturday on Rata Street, Wheelers Hill. The six individuals allegedly stole a black Mercedes CLA35 that was was being observed by by police at the time.

When police tried to intercept the car, three of the male suspects, one a 16 year old and two 17 year olds evaded the police and tried to run but were arrested without incident

A fourth male from Oakleigh South, aged 18 also ran from police but was arrested nearby. A 15-year-old maLe fled on foot and was arrested in the backyard of a nearby household on Miriam Close. A sixth offender, aged 17, was found near the intersection of Halley Drive and Rata Street.

Police allege that the the vehicle was stolen from an unknown address in St Georges Road, Elsternwick in the the early hours of Saturday morning. The offenders are from Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs.
