Man Arrested After Park Shooting

Anwar Adams, age 40, has been taken into custody on Monday, following an incident on May 5 at about 5:28 in Northeast Portland where the assailant shot a civilian. Shortly after police officers responded to a call in the Cully neighbourhood, near Northeast 82nd Avenue and Northeast Alberta Street, and found the injured civilian, and transported said person to a nearby hospital.

Adams was charged with attempted murder in the seven degree, assault in the first degree, unlawful use of a weapon, felon in possession of a firearm and felon in possession of body armour. His body armour and firearm were discovered by police when a search warrant was issued.
