At precisely 1:07 am last night, a 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit the the eastern coast of Japan, mainly centred in the city of Fukushima, Japan, leaving buildings shaking in Tokyo. With a confirmed number of 104 injuries, mainly cuts from glass and sprained ankles from falling over. The earthquake triggered a landslide blocking a main high way, and an estimated number of 1,000,000 homes left without power And 4,800 households without water.

Japan's Cabinet Secretary Katsunobu Kato said it would take several days before the full damage to the nation's cities and towns would be known.

Japans main Meteorological Agency have theorised that this was an aftershock of a previous earthquake over a decade ago that caused a tsunami killing 18,000 people and causing a major meltdown at a nearby Nuclear Power Plant.

My deepest sympathy’s go out to all the victims of this tragedy and I hope you are able continue on strong.
